Tools and utilities for assignments

These are practical tools you can use to design, test, and validate your interfaces.

  • Browser developer tools – I encourage the use of built‑in DevTools in Chrome or Firefox for inspecting layout, responsive breakpoints, and accessibility; this supports your outcomes around designing for multiple platforms and responsive design.

  • W3C HTML and CSS Validators – Online validation services students can run their pages through before submitting; this reinforces the standards and quality aspects discussed in the course.

  • Text editor: Notepad++ is a good one.
